Language and Country of Origin
[edit]I'm hoping an expert can help here. The IMDB [[1]] gives 5 countries as the country of origin of the film. Does anyone know this is definately true? Also it gives 5 languages, again is this accurate? I was going to add these facts as categories but I'd like to double check them before I do. Thanks Mallanox 23:30, 1 November 2006 (UTC)
- The nationality of a film is 'officially' determined by the nationalities of the production companies that made the film. The IMDB lists seven companies;[2] if you click on each of their links, it shows you which country they come from, and there are indeed 5 countries. As for the languages, IMDB lists Hindi (correct), English (correct), Punjabi (spoken when they are quoting classical Indian poetry, according to the director's commentary), Urdu (I wouldn't know), and Italian (huh? - presumably it's only a few words of Italian somewhere, so I certainly wouldn't categorize it as an Italian language film...) The dance song
[edit]What is the song that the girl and the brother are learning and that the girl dances alone until everybody joins? I think I have heard it elsewhere. According to the captions, the lyrics are about a handkerchief. --Error 23:32, 14 November 2007 (UTC)
